Aussies & Kiwis

Amazing success with my first meringue! I made a Pavolva for a dinner I attended this weekend. Was not as difficult or compicated as I was led to believe. It came out exactly as it was supposed to with a light, crispy outer meringue shell and a marshmellow like inside. It was a big hit with everyone. If you like slightly sweet desserts then this one is for you. In the future I am going to see if I can use less sugar in the whipped topping. Check out this scrumptious recipe from Once Upon a Chef.

Cities

Have loved Kate Protage's artwork since the day I went to a networking event at a bar that displayed and sold her artwork. I kick myself for not purchasing anything. At that time it just seemed too expensive. Thankfully I have since then had the opportunity to purchase a couple of her pieces and enjoy them every single day.

Ode to the Original

In an ode to the original purpose of this blog here are a couple of things I posted about mac and cheese:

Reimagined

It has been a long time since I last posted anything. Time has gone by, life has totally changed and the purpose of this blog is now nothing more than a repository of my likes, dislikes, things I want to remember. I, in no way, am under the illusion that this is meaningful to anyone but me. I just want a dumping ground to add things I want to remember. If you come across this blog I hope you find it interesting. Here are a couple of great commercials from years ago:
